• You can trigger the reaction if the card is pillaged, or if the card is discarded from an opponent's deck by a card ability (such as The Iron Fleet).

• If 2 or more non-character cards are discarded simultaneously, you can trigger Ralf twice in the same reaction window.

• Ralf can return himself to shadows. If he enters play again in the same round, his limit twice per round is reset.

• A card with shadow is any card that has the shadow keyword, whether printed or gained. If a card has the printed shadow keyword but its text box is blanked, that card is not considered to be a card with shadow.
