Rules FAQ

  • You can only trigger the ability if there is a character in both the discard as well as the dead pile. You do not have to state which characters you are switching before a cancel can be used.

  • While a unique character is in play, moving another copy of that character to its owner's dead pile will not affect the copy in play in any way.

  • Reactions to characters entering (or being placed in) the discard or dead pile can be used after the two characters are switched. This includes cards like Citadel Archivist, Maester Cressen (WK), Edric Dayne (HMW), or Warlock of Qarth, among others.
