Rules FAQ

  • Each modifier will raise the STR by 1, regardless of how it affects the initiative value. Negative modifiers count as well.

  • Only cards with the initiative symbol count as initiative modifiers. Text abilities that affect initiative (along the lines of "increase the initiative value on your revealed plot card") do not count as initiative modifiers.

  • Agenda cards are not in play, so Shipborn Bastard does not interact with Knights of the Hollow Hill.

  • The printed value of X is considered to be 0. That means Shipborn Bastard is an eligible target for something like Venomous Blade, regardless of its STR.
