Floydos 66
So, after a long time, I took part in a tournament. Since I haven't been able to build a new deck lately, I've been playing the same deck for over three years, with only occasional adjustments.
Deck is basicly shadow icon control backuped by negative attachments and draw/gold generation from Valyrian Steel (R). It is nothing "surprising" or "wow" effect.
How the games went? Well, I will try to write the things that I can remember.
1st game: Stark/Fealty WIN My opponent has bad setup without economy, so it was a bit harder for him to flood a board with typical Stark goodstuff. Luckily I had Venomous Blade in my hand from the turn 1, so Dacey Mormont and Alysane Mormont were toasted. Even my opponent was able to use Grey Wind (FtR) and Summer (Core) at least 2 times, he was not able to maintain pressure.
2nd game: Tyrell/Banner of the Lion WIN That was game shadow vs shadow, where opponent was able to trigger Ser Boros Blount 4 times. Luckily my deck really supported me and game was lasting until time was called and after some calculations, opponent conceeded (I would still win for a "cards in deck counting" - VS rulezz).
3rd game: Tyrell/Banner of the Stag LOSE My opponent has great start, Renly Baratheon (FotS) with Warhammer, so the pain was already there :) Even after my Valar, he was able to marshall a lots of renown guys like Ser Richard Horpe, Ser Garlan Tyrell (OR) etc. This time, my deck deceided to not work as it should, so despite I had Arianne Martell (PoS) on the table, I had no cards in shadow or negative attachments. And I even made a terrible mistake when counting opponent´s STR boosts, which basicly speeded up my lose.
4th game: Targaryen/Prince that was promised (Khal Drogo (Core) WIN This game was a just sh**storm for my opponent, pretty soon I had all icon stripping attachments ready and my The Iron Throne (LMHR) was on-line. I ended the game at 6th plot with Doran's Game (R).
Well, 3:1, not bad. Sadly, I was out of the Top4 just by SoS points, but during deck checks before Top4 matches, one of the opponent (Tyrell/Stag) has not legal deck. So I ended up in top! YEEEY (not happy about that, to be honest.)
TOP 4 match: Lannister/Lords of the Crossing LOSS Well, after 4th game, my deck deceided to go on vacation. I was not able to stop Lannister big guns from entering the play via jump events, so from the start, I was constantly under heavy pressure. And when opponent was able to jump with The Halfman's Horde via I Never Bet Against My Family just to be re-jumped via Burning Bright, it is a bit harded to be able control it all. Same can be applied with Ser Daven Lannister jumped in via Hear Me Roar! to be re-jumped later via Burning Bright.
Overall 4th place is really nice for me, to be honest. I play this deck for a really long time, it serves me well and I really love it. BUT it is time to move on. Sadly, I´m unable to build anything new, so maybe, next tourneys, you will see me using this deck again.
Feel free to try it, it need some "learning" with this deck and some matchups are still a really steep mountain to climb, especially Burn, Aggro and Fast ones. But I think, despite I build this deck alone, ofc with help from my good friend Raius, it is not a bad deck.
Have fun Floydos
Just for the info: After RL 1.15, I just swapped War Scorpion for a Poisoned Dagger.
