The day of the tournament I was undecided on what to play. My decisions were between this deck, Baratheon Fealty, and Martell The Lord of the Crossing and I felt like even thou Martell LotC may have been a stronger meta decision I was more comfortable with Stark BotR as I've played quite a bit of Stark, and Tyrell in previous tournaments and casually.
Unfortunately this was a short 3 round tournament as we only had 7 players (a few regulars fell prey to other priorities) and the way the standings fell it would have worked out to myself facing the winner immediately again which we decided against.
Game 1 vs Greyjoy Fealty - Win
First round sealed this game for me as I was able to use Ice attached to Arya Stark to stealth past his Balon Greyjoy (fortunately for me he didn't have Great Kraken on the table) and sent him to the seven hells. After that I managed to keep ahead in initiative and kept his character count down. The fact his deck failed to draw him any characters of worth was a considerable advantage.
Game 2 vs Targaryen Fealty - Win
I was a bit worried going into this game as Targaryen always seems to make me struggle a bit. This game was a fairly close one however the lack of burn on his side, and my ability to keep sacraficing weenies to his Khal Drogo military claims allowed me to keep ahead of him and eventually seal the game with Lady Sansa's Rose.
Game 3 vs Stark BotR - Loss
My opponents deck was similar to my own with a few changes based on personal play styles. This game really came down to my opponent simply having his key characters out (such as Margaery Tyrell, and Randyll Tarly) when I did not.
The bright side to this loss was there was no play errors on my end and the game simply played out the way it did. I was very happy with the way the deck ran considering I had no time to test it before the tournament
