You should check out the Joust Strategy / Martell Crossing thread on cardgamedb. We would love to hear more about the build. How did Seal of the Hand perform? I am not a big fan of Edric Dayne, did you have success with him? Any unusual MVPs? How did your plots flow? Congrats on the win!

Thx. Seal was initially in mono copy, but the matchup against Baratheon is a nightmare, so i decide to put a second copy of it. It performed very well on Viper and Doran. Edric is really expensive, but he's worth. He helps in a lot of matchup and with Doran he can make the impossible happen. In the previous version he is a 3x, but that's too much. Plot flow usually is: Long Plan, Counting, Calling and then what you need depending on the situation. You always want to finish with Clash. Raiders performed very well during the tourney (they discard various seals, milks and little birds) so i think i can say that they are unusual MVPs.

Hi congratulation for the win ! What do you think about In Doran's Name ? I test it in my Martell crossing deck and it allows you some nice moves. Also no wilding horde ? It seems to be quite nice in here to perform big challenge with the viper and to be jump by Arianne ?

I tried Doran's Name but I was not satisfied. This deck is full of non setupplable cards and this one is just weaker than the other. In addiction, this deck isn't plenty of draw effects, so if you draw a dead card (as Doran's Name can be in various situations) you will pay for that. 2x Calling are enough IMHO. Wildling Horde is great with Arianne, but i'm already full of 5 cost drops, so I took him away.

Congratulations for the results, during the first ed. i really hate Martell, but in this moment they fascinating me a lot. I'm testing my version of Martell Crossing and would like to have some tips from you :)

1) What about Areo Hotah? i had many troubles with it, it's solid for military icon, but the ambush cost with a limited economy is prohibitive and the Arianne Martell combo is really situational

2) Edric Dayne i've removed one copy and i'm trying to play it 1x. The real issue is about the gold you need to give the icon you need and when you have The Hand's Judgment or Tears of Lys in your hand it0s not easy to spend that gold

3) The Boneway is very usefull. i'm playing two of it and it give to you a power boost when you need and often your opponent don't care about you are losing a challenge or two.

4) Summons I've found it less usefull then i toght but the The Red Viper is a key char in this deck. How do you suply the lack of it on the board?

1) The effect of Areo is really worth the effort of play him. Usually 2x of calling is enough in order to play him. I just love the card and I think is one of the main reasons to play Martell. I see your point, without calling is really hard to play but in the later stage of the game, when your handsize is really poor (no draw engine) you can easily have 5 money left for Dominance,

2)As I said before Edric is great in a lot of matchup. He is your only Stealth, so you just need him. The first 2 turn try to prioritize other cards. He shines in the late game, when the economy is no more an issue.

3) I really hate the Boneway. It's a really big tempo-loss the first two turns and after it's just orrible because it's useless. The way i'm playing this (starting with TLP following with Counting) i can't effort the corst of Boneway, so i'll remove it, but if your start is different (NC or calm maybe) it could find its place.

4) TRV is only the main closer of the deck. You can easily close with the power grab of the agenda and a couple of Doran's Games. Summon in Martell is great, but you need more plot like GoT (vs GJ and Stark), counting for cards (no draw engine anyone?) and Clash for the closing round.
