After winning a tournament in Portland, Oregon in July, I took Kings of Sea and Storm on vacation with me to Glasgow for their Regional on July 30th, and finished 2nd. I was expecting a lot of Lannister/Kraken, Stark Fealty, and 45-character Stark Fealty, so I brought this deck along. Baratheon/Greyjoy is well-positioned against the metagame I was expecting.

It was my understanding that 61 cards is the British Way, so I added a copy of Ruby of R'hllor, in order to suss out Treacheries, Stark renown characters, and Targaryen events. I only drew it in two games, however, and it got pulled for intrigue claim in one of them, so I haven't yet decided on its effectiveness.

If I had a tournament tomorrow, I would try to fit in 2x Nightmares. The ability to blank locations is very strong in a metagame with Winterfell and Ghaston Grey, and blanking problem characters like Mirri Maz Duur and Ser Gregor Clegane is also excellent.

So, if you want to play a more aggressive Baratheon than the Fealty style, give the Kraken a try!

been play testing this quite a bit and I really like where this deck stands right now. I did not do very well in my recent tournament with it but that may have been due to other things. I added a 3rd selmy because I feel he is just so good in this deck and you really want to see him (also extra dupes makes sense for his ability) I am also testing out consolidation of power Over Even Handed Justice, but I feel EHJ is far more Versatile than CoP. I also added an Extra Longship as my 61st Card because when I see that card the game becomes incredible easy and fast with Theon/Asha.

For the Plots I dropped Filthy and Close Call. I ve never been a big fan of FIlthy I just feel there are better plots personally, and I really like Clash of KIngs in this deck. It's a great closer and also a great come back card to slow your opponent down. And I added Calm Over Westeroes over Close call because I found My openers were weak to Naval and I never really got the full benefit of Close call (The card draw is nice but the only time this is ever useful is if you get crowned.) Its far easier to keep your important guys safe.

The games I lost in The regional were heavily Impacted by having incredibly weak hands to First snow. That was more of a Mulligan Thing than problem with the deck. If you get the pieces and the right characters First snow shouldn't be a problem.

Other than that, Great deck and thanks for sharing.

Hey there. I played you in the top four (Martell-Lion). Congratulations on becoming the runner-up!

Your single copy of Raiding Longship caused me lots of problems, and although I often made you go first I had other valid reasons to want to go second! That rock-and-hard-place position persisted for most of the match. Of course, my problems began when I mulliganed, turning down Hotah, a Palace Spearman and a Roseroad in the hope of setting up a 6-coster. That gamble failed and I was left with Ghaston, a Roseroad and a Dayne chud. My set-ups (including mulligans) had been so reliable until then... So I was on the back foot from then on, and when Tyene & co (who had been murdering and poisoning quite happily all day long) showed up at last you had the kneeling pieces waiting.

It was a refreshing deck to play against, with so much Stark in the meta. Check out my deck list - it's near yours in the tournament section.

All the best!

Thanks guys! I'm glad that you are experimenting with the plot deck @Banjo. The Close Call inclusion is a playstyle choice for me, because of all the Targaryen/Lion I faced all through Store Championships. It's also nice to revive Selyse Baratheon, but that might be more relevant if I had three copies of her. Calm Over Westeros is a solid replacement, though. As for Naval Superiority, if I sense that coming on Round 1, I tend to flip Filthy Accusations.

I recently watched the footage of our match @MagnusLothar, and it was as great as I remember from the day!
