The Forced Reaction will not trigger if Jaime is already standing, or if Jaime "cannot stand" for some reason. It will also not trigger if a card comes into play as a duplicate.

If Freedmen or Mother's Men come into play with their ability and are discarded by Jaime, the card that enters the discard pile is considered to be a new instance of that card, so it can be triggered again from the discard pile in the same reaction window.
Core jaime is a much better card, totally honest here but this is season 8 Jaime, terrible card.

this card completely shuts down any jumper deck. his forced reaction happens before any ETB trigger in the challenges phase, eliminating first player advantage. for example, Robert Strong has no chance to go off before Jaime nopes him to the discard pile. in a meta increasingly dominated by jumpers, this card strikes fear into any shadow, ambush, or Martell player. slap a Seven-Pointed Star on him and you have an automatic Barring the Gates going into challenges. pair him with Syrio and banner of the dragon with 3x Freedmen and you get decent automatic stand. This card can be utilized in very creative ways, it's easily one of my favorite cards from the design team.
