Rules FAQ

  • Acolyte of the Shadow will have insight if an opponent controls a card in shadows during the K step of the D.U.C.K. sequence, even if there was no card in shadows when the winner of the challenge was determined. An example where that could happen would be when Banished from the Light is played after winning a challenge.

  • It is possible for a character to gain a keyword while another keyword is being processed. For instance, if the ability of Ser Gregor Clegane (TKP) kills Hagen's Daughter while resolving his pillage keyword, it is possible for Acolyte of the Shadow to gain insight if Hagen's Daughter is returned to shadows. If insight has not already been processed in that challenge (it cannot be processed unless there is a character with insight present), Acolyte of the Shadow can draw a card.

  • In a Melee game, Acolyte of the Shadow will have insight if any opponent controls a card in shadows, not only the specific opponent in a particular challenge.
