Rules FAQ

  • When an effect that is giving a character +STR expires or stops applying, that character's STR has not been "reduced by a card effect". Summerhall cannot be triggered in such a scenario. It also cannot be triggered if a character's STR is not actually reduced (for example, playing A Dragon Is No Slave on a character that is already on 0 STR).

  • When a character's STR is reduced to 0 by a "terminal burn" effect (like Dracarys!), the kill effect of terminal burn resolves first. Then, if the character is saved (for instance, with Risen from the Sea), you can trigger Summerhall to kill it again, even if its STR is now above 0. (See Timing of Terminal Condition Effects.)

  • A character can be saved from Summerhall's kill effect by "normal" saves, without having to raise its STR above 0.
