Rules FAQ

  • If multiple characters are declared as attackers or defenders at the same time, Gulian can react twice. You have to say which character you are reacting to each time, but you do not have to state which icon you are removing until the cancel window has passed.

  • Removing an icon while a character is already participating in a challenge does not directly affect that challenge, but it could matter for abilities like The Red Viper (OR) or Sandstone.

  • You can choose an icon the character does not currently have.

  • In a Melee game, you can trigger Gulian even during challenges where you are not the attacking or defending player.

  • You cannot trigger Gulian when a character becomes participating in some way other than being declared as an attacker or defender (for instance, Ours is the Fury or Azor Ahai Reborn).
