I went undefeated on the day during the 4 rounds of swiss. We had 14 people, so there wasn’t a cut to top 4.

I’ve been playing this deck for a while. It’s probably my favorite among the decks I have assembled. This deck can potentially play all of the different games. Some games, you blow everyone up with early Dracarys!. Others, you have the Buddy Cops in opening hand and you win all day with military and renown. Occasionally you’ll find yourself with all of your intrigue icons and your opponent with no cards in hand. One of the main combos is Magister Illyrio and Tyrion Lannister for consistent readying of Danny to kill people with Dracarys!.

The main dragon with a use is Rhaegal. Readying Danny is far too strong while she has intrigue. The rest of the dragons are pretty much only there for Dracarys! fuel.

Taking the Black had come out only a few days before. The only changes i made was to add 2 of The Hound (who is an utter monster) and a 1 of Street of the Sisters. I never drew the Street, but the Hound did some work once Tyrion Lannister was out to fuel repeatable ambush.

Pretty much the key to this deck is just knowing how to bait your opponent into a Dracarys! when they don’t expect it. There have been several times when I’ve killed a dragon to a claim and then promptly brought him back standing to kill a Melisandre with a dup when they thought they were safe.

Is 2x Lannisport Moneylender a typo for Merchant?

Crowntaj 1

Why would you think it’s a typo?

DrSleepless 20

It’s not a typo. I actually rarely saw them and when I did, their intrigue icon was always relevant. Honestly though, if I had to make cuts for something, they would probably be near the top of the list to go

GIBraag 32

I thought it was a typo, because 11 Limited cards is rarely a good idea, unless in some kind of Taxation-deck.

DrSleepless 20

For this deck (and the entire game in general), I’ve found economy to be super important. Most of the things you want on the board are at least 5 gold. Even after that, you’ll want money for combat tricks

I agree, economy is super important. But having eleven limited cards hurts your setup, or have you found this not to be the case?

DrSleepless 20

If anything, it helped my setup. It was rare that I didn’t see one on setup. It was nice to rarely have to worry about having money for Danny + combat tricks. In the few games before the tournament that I didn’t see any of them, it was devastating

It’s true that I would often had two or more in hand, but I never had a problem playing what I needed to
