Deck I ran at Black Knights Spring Kit Tournament this past Sunday. Only 7 people showed up So it is not a great test for this kind of deck, but I really enjoyed how it played. Needs a lot of refining.

I got the Bye first round than played Rob St John who was playing Lanni/Dragon.

I flopped Ariane a bastard and a roseroad/kingsroad. He setup rattleshirts Tickler and Jorah and western fiefdom. I opened with Naval into his Trading which brought the game to a halt. I put out Mel and played Seen in flames to see what he had in his hand discarding treachery or Nightmares? Than I played Famine into his Calling. He got about 8 gold and played Tirion. Seeing Mirri and The Hound in his hand I played seen in flames again kneeling Tirion. I intrigued him again reducing his hand size to Mirri and the hound. I played heads on spikes and hit Mirri and by the point I just slowly crept up on power while he struggled to get characters on the board. He summons for a Tywin which I luckily plucked out of his hand and with Nymeria on the Board slowly gain enough power to close.

Although I got incredibly lucky with the Naval I got a good feeling of the best case scenario for this deck, the amount of control it provides by forcing the opponent to keep cards in his hand and slowly let me widdle through them limiting their options is great.

The last game and for the Win was against Toms Tyrell/Stag.

I was worried about this matchup with this deck because the arbor negates most of my annoying gold shennigans. This match was recording on Rob St.Johns stream so I wont go into to much detail. It was a long drawn out game where we were both heavily controlling each other from doing much. The most memorable thing was I had 2 milks on the board and my last plot was Weapons at the Door and I really did not want to play it. Luckily when we flopped our last plots he played forgotten plans and cancelled the ability sealing the game for me in the next 3 plots...

Overall it was a fun day playing some super fun jank. I think Famine is a great plot and I hope i can implement it In future decks. I never felt short on gold with arianne to help put characters out and having a very low cost curve. I almost dropped tyene the minute before we started but I'm glad i kept her in.

I was just trying to imagine a deck like this today, how lucky for me to see yours on the splash page. I have a few questions on choices you made. Do you feel like the second Tourney Grounds was useful? Was the reasoning behind Weapons at the Door opposed to Confiscation based on initiative? I feel like with running 6 attachments it could hurt you more. Also any thought to running the icon removing attachments? Did you see any The First Snow of Winter? I feel like with such a low curve you could be in trouble if it got played.

As soon as the Tourney was finished I immediately drop weapons at the door. My reasoning behind it was our meta runs 3xpoppy in all their decks and if they managed to get 2 out on Nymeria or a Arianne I could just ace them. Imitative was the second concern because I had 2xSunspears, But I felt this wasn't the deck for them (I completely forgot Famine was 2 Claim when I built the deck). But I figured running Tourney grounds helped with playing seen in flames more conspicuously as well as running Supporting the faith. It also helped greatly with economy since the gold curve is Atrocious.

Because this deck was more focused on being as NPE as possible I considered the Icon removers but clashed heavily with my character count, My characters are not as impactful and make winning challenges very difficult. So Maybe they could work, I would definitely drop Motley though for 2x attainted 2x condemened.

Luckily I did not face First snow but i find Arianne and Nymeria work well ina first snow turn. Especially when you're sitting with Hotah in your hand. Because this deck had little exposure to tournament decks, it really isn't fair to say Its good. I got extremely lucky I hit Robs trading with naval. The second game even though I missed my naval His deck was just as slow and I was lucky to get my control out faster with Tyene and Poppies.

I feel like there is something here with this kind of deck, the first game really proved my point that if you can get the control off early there is no coming back, The ability to see your opponenets hand and force them to keep there Bomb character in hand for you to Spikes is such a fun and cheddary concept.

@BanjoI really like your deck, I enjoy the martell/bara combo a lot. One thing I wanted to point out is a mistake you made in the first game that I have made many many times. When you do the initial setup for the game you cannot put two limited cards down. I used to be under the impression that it wasn't a regular marshaling phase so the rule didn't apply, but this isn't so. Just wanted to let you know for your future games.

Once again, very nice deck :).

@meanbean47I'm glad you like it, sorry for the confusion I put / between the two because I couldn't remember which one I played at the time. I'm sure Rob St.John would have slapped me if I flopped 2 Limited.

strong control but hard to kill opponent's key character and naval need bit luck

100% This first draft is by no means consistent but seeing its best case scenario work well I think there's something here a better deck builder good exploit.

In regards too naval and the low gold curve I was more just curious to play with higher skill plots and being able to play them at opportune times, I really wanted to mess around with forgotten plans to negate first snow turns but I feel there isn't enough plots that are being played right now that don't have when revealed effects so that even if I miss the First snow I could mess something else up.

I'm going to try a version of this tonight, I added an extra Maester Caleotte and switched one Motley with a Condemned. Also changed Weapons at the Door for Confiscation. I wish I could add in more tricks like Vengeance for Elia but I'm running into conceptual problems with the low gold from plots which I also don't want to mess with yet.

youtu.be Heres the game I played.

Vengence is definitely good, As well with Even handed Justice, But im more focused on the Hand control than the kneel from Stag. I may try dropping down 2 His Vipers eyes because A. BEST case scenario they aren't able to do many challeneges to begin with because you've hurt they're economy / Hand Size. B. If you've already demolished their hand odds are they're ain't much left as well you'd rather have seen in flames go off for the kneel than the card discard so they need at least some cards. So you could fit a 1 of or 2 of Vengeance. And i'd definitely would drop all the Motleys for the Icon Attachments.
