Or maybe leave the Fishing Net... and attach them to stealthy people. Yup... that's the way. |
I just took your idea for regionals Melee side event in Poland and took 1st place with it. I did just a few minor changes, but I wouldn't say there were a factor. To be completely honest, my friend playing Tyrell Crossing had to help me get to the final by a few of his decissions. In the final I met 3 Tyrrel Crossings (him included) and I guess they underestimated me, since I was the odd in the pod so I went untouched through the first round and was able to cross with 3 stealths and Sneak Attack. This is in fact melee meta defining deck in my opinion right now. They are alway able to cross on second turn, so you have to outrun them or somehow stop them. Since I have no idea how to stop them, better to optimize your play to cross on second also. So after gaining some experience I can share some insight.
Important factor:
Changes I would make now : 3 x Ahead of the Tide 3 x Superior Claim Drop Fishing Nets 3 x Great Kraken Maybe 1 x Support of the People to dig for it. Drop The Iron Thrones
It's also not a bad idea to increase the number of Stealth and for that reason, however counter-intuitive it sounds, Raiding Longship is not so weird. You really need to push the second challenge unopposed. It's not a bad idea to include Snowed Under to make sure you'll win initiative,
I'd put The First Snow of Winter into the mix and play it occasionally. Marched to the Wall is rather a wasted slot. I used Summons twice but both times I was not sure if it's the best option. First time I found Newly-Made Lord that destroyed Great Kraken, stopping the rush of other GJ. Second time I found Balon Greyjoy, which gave me the Renown, but I'd be safer with high initiative plot.
Putting things simple - take this deck, optimize it for second turn win and you will have some fun.
Thanks man!
