Could have been top 4 at least if i wasn't so shit.

After this tournament I would change the plots a little bit. The two Wildfires helped quite a bit on the day. Using one early then allowing opponent to flood before using the other.

I originally went into the tournament with Trading with Pentoshi but traded it in for A Noble Cause before the start of the tournament. I don't regret that at all but realize a Pentoshi may have been more helpful at some points but the 3 gold would have helped opponent come back or play more characters which is not good because GJ like a smaller board. I would swap out a wildfire for a marched to the wall.

The deck went 5-2 in swiss loosing to two Lannister players, one with unbeatable starting hand, while mine was bad and my draw let me down both of those games. Top 16 was Greyjoy mirror which was a great fast game ended on third plot, winning initiative in the Greyjoy mirror wins you the game, Weapons at the door initiative won the game to his 8 kraken plot. Top 8 game was a Lannister banner kraken, excellent game, was recorded and I will post link if I can find it online, lost due to player error after a long day of 9 games, thats no excuse as opponent played just as many but I was happy to get that far out of 87 players with my GJ deck, to prove to myself Greyjoy still has what it takes. If I did have marched it would have been my game in the TOP 8 as he setup Asha alone. It was really close, he won 15 to my 14 power in the end. Best card of the day is weapons at the door, amazing card saved and won my games more than once. never taking it out again XD and Syrio is amazing.

most played houses on the day were - Lannister > Stark > Greyjoy > Martell > other XD

It was an amazing day and an amazing event, thanks to all who turned up and the organizers

I'm going to leave a comment here as Isian's deck is legit.

I took this deck to a regional in Reading on the 23rd July and finished 3rd in Swiss. I made a few amendments to suit my style which were;

+1 The Seastone Chair +2 The Reader +1 Marched to the Wall +2 Salty Navigator

-2 Little Bird -2 Seal of the Hand -1 Theon Greyjoy -1 Drowned Men -1 Priest of the Drowned God -1 Wildfire Assault

Me and Isian both went 5-1 on the day (I lost to a GJ Stag deck which crippled me with kneel) and I believe it is strong against a lot of decks. It's biggest weakness is Baratheon kneel (not ubiquitous at the moment) and Martell icon control (probably the biggest threat at the moment in my opinion).

The only issue I had with the deck was the draw. Twice I had 2/3 turns where I only drew boats, when I really needed characters. This is something to fix for Nationals I suppose. That and how to fit in Pyke!

Anyhow, thanks to Isian for sharing the deck, and congratulations for another high finish!

@hagarrrcomplains about how there are too many locations in the deck. Wants to put more locations in the deck XD That's always the risk when you play greyjoy and have nearly 20 locations. You could always put Support of the People in there instead and reduce copies of Great Kraken and The Seastone Chair

But no you're right. I think I will take a page from your book. The -1 Priest of the Drowned God and Drowned Men give me a few more options to add to the deck, but I am still hesitant on doing that as he drowned men have been solid high strength characters when I see no other main characters. Other than that I wouldn't take out another Ward boy out just because of stealth + fake renown which is always nice, if u have him early you can stack to 3-4 power easily. Right now there aren't many bara players but Seal of the Hand is a life saver against them. I don't think I will be taking out the Little Bird any time soon it's just too good on Asha Greyjoy, Balon to prevent Tears and even Theon for more options on your renown.

Now that the new pack is in I will definitely be playing one or two of Captain's Daughter add one or two Pyke but need to figure out what to remove. Also Varys's Riddle is going into my deck 100%, gold and initiative are amazing and can be great depending on what you hit. Hit two filthy accusations with it last night and it feels good. Will also help when you have them one character set ups and 7 ships to double March. Hitting pretty much anything is awesome. Summons, Building Orders, Calling the Banners, Counting Coppers and it's not limited to one per plot deck. I think Its hard to find a place for it but personally will replace it for the long winter or banners, banners hasn't been that great for me as every game board is always small.

I think reducing the locations by 1x each (aside from economy) and playing Support of the People is an option. That will allow for another couple of deck slots, and the flexibility of fetching the location that you believe will be most helpful for the characters you have on the board and the faction you're up against. The only problem is if you are facing Baratheon who have set up plenty of power icons.

I see what you mean about keeping Seal and Little Bird. While I agree that Seal is useful, it isn't necessary in my view. Little Bird however I can completely understand keeping it.

Varys's Riddle is an interesting idea, albeit something of a gamble. I wouldn't want to hit my opponent's Pentoshi though, that'd hurt! Dropping Calling the Banners is a good idea, I think I've already replaced it since with A Noble Cause anyhow. I don't think I'll add Captain's Daughter to the deck though. I think it's more suited to a banner or something more dedicated to pillaging by including 3x Black Wind's Crew and 3 The Reader.
