This is the second version of a Greyjoy deck I've been tinkering with for a couple months. Basically it's a power rush using the fealty reducer to more easily put out big cards like Euron Crow's Eye, Balon Greyjoy, Great Kraken, and Pyke for as little as possible. The downside to this deck is that it's insanely draw-centric. You pull Balon, Euron, or Asha on setup and you're in good shape. Throw Pyke, Kraken, and Seastone and even better. Otherwise it's not a deck that comes from behind very well at all, BUT, when this deck is hitting its marks I typically win in four plots or less with its crazy good power grab. I played it in a store tournament recently and went 2-2, beating Targ Fealty and Bara/Kraken. Both of those featured great setup for me and, in the case of the Targ matchup, some unlucky draw on the part of my opponent. My losses came against Martell/Lion (a monster of a deck to play against in even the best of draw but where the best card I drew all game was The Reader). The other loss came against Lanni/Crossing where they benefited from good draw and their power rush took the game over quickly.
I dropped attachments in order to maximize marshaling. For how quickly the games go I don't miss Milk of the Poppy since Nightmares can achieve the same and hit locations as well. No Confiscation plot either as every negative attachment I've been hit with I've been able to remove with We Do Not Sow. With the addition of Pyke plus Greyjoy's inherent stealth getting an unopposed challenge through generally isn't too difficult.
All in all I can't think of too many major changes I'd make. I flip-flop on putting Drowned God's Blessing in despite its flawed Tears protection just to avoid any PTTS, Dracarys, etc. We shall see.
Very nice, I made the following changes:
-2 Alannys Greyjoy, -1 Maester Wendamyr, -1 Theon Greyjoy, -1 Newly-made Lord, -1 Sea Tower, -1 Great Kraken,
+2 Lordsport Shipwright, +1 Littlefinger, +2 Wildling Scout
Bringing the deck down to 60. Plot wise I replaced Trading with the Pentoshi and Heads on Spikes with Summer Harvest and Weapons at the Door.
Looking forward to trying it out this way. 62 is way too much for my taste, and you said it's draw centric, meaning less is more.
