Small tournament. (12)
Round 1 vs Targ-Fealty. (win) Horrendous start. Zero choke cards until turn/plot 5 (!) Eeked out a win but mostly due to opponent making mistakes.
Round 2 vs Lanni/Dragon (win) The choke was real. He opened Trading with the Pentoshi vs my Wraiths in Their Midst meaning he'd have only 2 have cards in hand afterwards. I played Varys and got rid of everything. He could not come back. Not even with Lannisters.
Round 3 vs Greyjoy fealty. (loss) He had Both Balon and Euron plus The Seastone Chair and a handful of GJ locations. Balon could power through anything I had unopposed killing at will. (no Maester Aemon) Turn 3 Rise of the Kraken clinched the onesided deal.
Turn 4 vs Stark Fealty. (loss) Stark with 2x Marching Orders ánd a Trading with the Pentoshi meant effectively no choke. I held out for quite a bit but once he had both Winterfell Castle and Winterfell there was no stopping him.
Turn 5: Lannister fealty. (win) Easy win. But note he saw no (!) Tywin nor Tyrion in 7 (!) turns. Cersei and the Mountain were not enough. Me stealing his hound (Yoren) did do him no favours either.
Ended up 3rd. No. 1 and no.2 were both my losses. A lot better then expected.;)
Verdict; NW Choke is almost there. But not there yet. Cannot beat the true top tier decks. Yet...
