Welcome to the Valar meta.
This deck aims to leverage twelve save effects, Iron Mines, Risen from the Sea, Healing Expertise, and Bodyguard to protect your important characters from dying.
However, it isn't just a good stuff deck. I believe the most important card in this deck is The Red Keep, for you want to drag the game for as long as possible to accumulate more cards -- and saves than your opponent.
You want to possibly even use Valar Morghulis twice (or thrice, if your opponent runs one, too), until you rack up enough power to win.

Since you want to Valar as many times as possible, I'd say you can go without Milks, since you get rid of their characters anyway. |
I see a reason for NW to run Confiscation now. I think you guys are overdoing it on the "We have to save those bombs" strategy. |
I like the idea of this deck and finding a use of the neutral maesters. Cant wait to try it out! |
I see you have replaced Kingsroad with Ocean Roads, but without much adjustment to the overall cost curve of a Baratheon/Kraken deck. How is that working out? |
Risen? What? |
|
what about trying the new aeron to tap/untap characters? |
Played this deck at a store Championship last week and it did really well. The economy is great even without The Kingsroad. Worth playing! |
Glad it worked out for you |
Would like to see Newly-Made Lord to kill opposing Iron Mines, but looks solid. Is the post-Valar world also post-Milk?
