This deck has had several iterations since Margaery Tyrell (AMAF) was released. This is version 4, Alliance flavoured.

Joffrey Baratheon (Core) and Margaery Tyrell (AMAF) work so well together, it's almost treason to keep them apart. The concept is simple. Kill Lords and Ladies for Joffrey Baratheon (Core). If you kill one of your unique Lord or King characters, replace them with Margaery Tyrell (AMAF) for another, hopefully better Lord or King.

Lose challenges on the defence. As long as it's not by 5! You want to dispose of your cheap Lords for Margaery Tyrell (AMAF) to replace them for better characters.

There's multiple win conditions to be had here.

1. Kill as many Lord and Lady characters as you can (including your own), racking up power on Joffrey Baratheon (Core). Your finishing plot will be Wildfire Assault. Saving only Joffrey Baratheon (Core) and Margaery Tyrell (AMAF). Let the rest die for your cause.

2. Board advantage. Margaery Tyrell (AMAF) is a power house. Replacing a chud Lord or King for any other character of the same trait. Trading a Rickon Stark for Renly Baratheon (FFH) is a good trade right? Abuse your economy advantage and overwhelm your opponent, you'll force the resets early and make your opponent run out of steam. (Even better if you can force a Valar Dohaeris, which you're actually safe from! Joffrey and Margaery are only 9 cost together. Finish on You Win Or You Die

3. Renown and passive power. This ties in to win condition 2, you're looking to build a board full of renown and The Starry Sept. Pair with Sansa Stark (Core) for cheap and efficient gain. If you're playing the long game, you should build a decent enough board from win condition 2. Finish on what the game dictates.

The weakness of this deck is the reliance on the two main characters, which is why we include as much cancel and answers as we can.

If you don't see Joffrey Baratheon (Core)or Margaery Tyrell (AMAF) you can replace the cheap Lords and Ladies you setup with Heir to the Iron Throne. If you already have them, you can get a similar effect as Margaery Tyrell (AMAF) only on a plot! Win!

Remember to keep it simple. Kill a Lord or King first, replace with Margaery Tyrell (AMAF). If not possible kill a Lady. Gain a on Joffrey Baratheon (Core). Bonus points if you kill one of their Lords or Ladies.

If you have a decent setup, open with Time of Plenty. If you need to drop gold fast, risk it with Trading with the Pentoshi.

Finish on Wildfire Assault ruthlessly. Save only Joffrey Baratheon (Core) and Margaery Tyrell (AMAF). Or overwhelm your opponent with board advantage and finish on You Win Or You Die.

This deck has the surprise element. No other deck really utilises the pairing to this degree. It has won several local Store Championships and continues to surprise me to this day with it's speed.

Good luck and enjoy!

Do you think including Blessed by the Maiden would be a good idea to prevent Milk of the Poppy from disabling the "combo"?

Or is Confiscation usually enough?

Hi @Zukin I'm fairly new to the game, 2 months ago I started playing online. I was searching some fun and themed decks to start playing, I stumbled upon your previous version and I've been playing and loving it since then. Lots of fun and not a bad winrate (I'm sure the winrate would be way better if I was a better player, I'm still learning the game) Very nice job!

Lately I started thinking how the deck could be improved. After being milled and defeated by a Lanni pillage deck, I thought of Alliance banner which would allow keeping the Lannister banner, yet increase the number of cards (and lords) in the deck. I was going to create one, but then I noticed you already did that :)

One of the main problems I experienced in my games, is the draw. If I don't get my pleasure barges, or they get discarded due to intrigue challenges or pillage, I'm choked. So I'd suggest including a copy of Littlefinger (Core), and maybe 1 or 2 "Off To Gulltown" which would also help against the pesky icon removing Martell's.

Also, instead of Close Call I've been using Compelled by the Faith because more often than not, I had my renown lords (jaime, gregor, garlan, garth etc.) earn some power, then lose them to resets.

Keep up the good work!

Hi @bilginayb I'm glad you really enjoyed these decks, welcome to the game!

There are certainly some improvements I'd suggest and I'm very open to tweaking the deck. Play according to your meta and experiences!

The draw is a huge problem and probably the biggest stumbling block of the deck. Littlefinger (Core), Exchange of Information, Pleasure Barge, Ser Mark Mullendore, Mace Tyrell (SAT), Oldtown or even "Six Maids in a Pool" could be go to cards. I'll be looking into this and releasing a newer version of the deck shortly after some playtests. :)

Thank you for the great feedback! I look forward to hearing more about your exploits soon!

@Toaster Hey buddy, the biggest answer would be Compelled by the Faith into a The Iron Bank Will Have Its Due or something similar.

If confiscation isn't enough :(

Esiste un mazzo aggiornato di questo tipo? Fermo restando che questo già mi piace tantissimo

Frey Lordling are useless because they are not unique characters, so the Margaery power don't fonction with them.

@Râthey may be slightly less valuable than some other cards of the deck, but they are far from useless. first, they are military claim soak when you didn't find margaery yet. second, they don't trigger margaery but they surely trigger joffrey, which is one of the two main strengths of the deck. they serve their purpose very well imo.
