I Fight Dragons 21

The aim of this deck is to win through consistent aggression on the enemy character line. It is very easy to keep them on the back foot between your targeted burn effects, strong military powerhouses, Put to the Sword, and Marched to the Wall with plenty of weenies for you to trade for their surviving big characters after a large assault turn. I have found this deck to be quite consistent at what it wants to do. More often than not, my opponent has slowed to a crawl by turn 4 or 5 and the game is quickly sealed out from there.

Plot usage is relatively straight-forward:

A Noble Cause - Economy turn, usually used fairly early on to guarantee a large character like Daenerys Targaryen or Khal Drogo.

Filthy Accusations - For problem characters like Old Bear Mormont or Robert Baratheon that can easily swing the board when you don't have a Milk of the Poppy on hand. Also allows you to really layer on the aggression when they are low on characters.

Marched to the Wall - Often used to trade out a weeny character of your own for one of their better characters after you'd killed some the previous turn. The fact that they cannot be saved makes this just killer when the opponent is behind. If you play it on a Wildfire Assault turn from them to, you can trigger this first on a character you would otherwise lose to the Wildfire Assault to make it a very bad trade for the opponent. Also can be used as a makeshift Confiscation with Viserys Targaryen. Two of these is practically a must.

Wildfire Assault - Largely a soft board reset if things start to get out of hand. You rely on only a couple of characters to get stuff done so it's not a big deal to lose some to this in exchange for equalizing the board.

Confiscation - Answers Milk of the Poppy and the few in faction attachments than can cause you problems. No real reason not to run this with attachments being as durable and powerful as they are.

Counting Coppers - Targaryen has the least card draw (read: just Insight on Daenerys) in faction than any other house. This supplements that weakness and you often will find a turn where you are ahead enough to draw up without losing much board presence.

When given the choice of initiative, you usually want to be first player so you can limit their options through military challenges and burn in your turn of the Challenges step, often leaving them little to no room for counter-attack.

As for Fealty: at the moment I don't really see twelve cards that are strict upgrades from another faction, and Fealty allows you to play Dracarys! and Fire and Blood on no gold while also playing your two most important characters, Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo, for cheaper as well. There is an argument to be made for Banner of the Lion for a couple more solid economic and character cards that combo well and for Banner of the Rose because works well with Handmaiden and Olenna's Informant can net you even more military value, but I feel they are both just a couple solid splash cards away from being truly worth it.

Feel free to test it out and let me know what you think. I love the Targaryen playstyle and would love to hear what other people have had success with as well!
