Suggestions for Dfaust's Miltary Rush deck. My first suggestion about your deck is in regards to New Catelyn. She requires a very different type of deck and the one you have is trying to do many things. I tried not to change to much of the core concept of the Deck (From what I believed the deck was supposed to do). I think first snow is better with stark than Wildfire. First its a Winter plot, second Stark has many low cost Unique characters that die in a wildfire and in a deck like this were your pushing the Military claim, their board should not get out of hand. I added Greywind to help clear the board of chuds so you can Winter is coming and wipe some good characters. I don't think For the North is a good card, most of the time your winning military because of Stealth (from Arya / Syrio) And if your not their board is probably all knelt. I think Milks are key in this current meta. Tywin Mirri and Nymeria/Tyene are your biggest threats in this deck. Which is also why I added 3 Winterfell because this card is Bonkers good. With the added Winter Plots it will help you Get Ice Off and stop them from using Ghaston Gray / Treachery and even Bodyguards. This combo also works well with Syrio / Catelyn (core). Core Catelyn is far better in this type of deck than New Catelyn. If you want I can toy around with making a new Catelyn Deck but its not my forte.

I am not sold on Rodrik either but This deck list was more ment for suggestions for another users deck. Black Fish is definitely better he gets a card draw doing the same thing and if you're throwing him in with fast eddy games end very quickly. I much perfer tempo Stark over kill Stark, but I was just trying to help Dfaust focus on one of Starks many deck archetypes. The hardest part about having so many options is finding the right ones that mech well together. |
@Banjo I have been trying to figure out the good old kill deck for and been struggling with the balance. The First Snow of Winter can be very, very good with the cards like Ice, Put to the Sword and Winter Is Coming.
I totally agree with the Milk of the Poppy. Even if you are going basicly all in for the kills, you must have some control over Mirri Maz Duur, Tyene Sand, Nymeria Sand etc. Jory Cassel works as a great backup plan to secure your important characters.
I have been using 3 copies of Winterfell lately and I am totally in love. Even if you are top decking and losing challenges every turn, you don't really have to worry about Tears of Lys at all.
The added winter plots are a good call, especially in mirror matches where you can fire with 2 claim and trigger all those nasty kills.
I'm still not sure about The Blackfish and Ser Rodrik Cassel. Is it better to have 1 more Renown dude with possible unkneel or uncrownable multi insight knight.
