This is my first go at a published deck, despite playing GoT 2.0 since its release. I am IN LOVE with the concept of "The Rains of Castamere" as an agenda and wanted to stray away from the go-to of Lannister (the house pollutes my current meta and Martell is far more fun for me to play, personally).
The concept of this deck is simple: utilize various means to win challenges by 5+ STR so that you can trigger your agenda. Even if you cannot win by that 5+ STR, you have Tyene Sand and Tears of Lys to capitalize on an intrigue challenge. This deck wants to, ideally, card-starve your opponent through persistent challenges. There are a lot of tricks you can do with your schemes so here are a few ideas that I have used on both OCTGN and in actual face-to-face play.
Filthy Accusations to kneel one of their larger guys to allow you to push through challenges, or to prevent them from retaliating if you're 1st player.
Littlefinger's Meddling to set you up for You Murdered Her Children or Vengeance for Elia - the latter would only be viable if you are first player and want to protect your board/cards from a retaliatory attack.
Power Behind the Throne - self explanatory. Use it to stand one of your big guys to swing another large attack (preferably used to stand The Red Viper.
Varys's Riddle is probably my favorite scheme for this agenda. Use it to copy Wildfire Assault, Counting Coppers for mid-challenges phase card draw, Marched to the Wall to help you keep their board small...the list goes on. Always keep an eye on your opponent's plots to really punish them mid-challenges phase with something they used on you!
Forgotten Plans this is the slot that I am toying around with. Right now, I have substituted this in for my original scheme of Wildfire Assault. I've made this choice because of Varys's Riddle's ability to copy a Wildfire that was played that turn, but also for Forgotten Plans actual text. When it's revealed, you can cancel A Song of Summer, Winter Festival, Calm Over Westeros, A Clash of Kings...lots of stuff that might be giving you a tough time during the challenges phase.
Anyway - let me know what you all think! This deck has to go through PLENTY more testing before I will even consider deeming it competitive, but at least it's a LOAD of fun! In face-to-face, the deck sits at 3-0 against Greyjoy/Watch, Lannister/Wolf, and Lannister/Crossing.
