Hello all! This is my first published Thrones deck, and something I've been brewing for the total of the 2 weeks I've been playing. I own 3 cores and all released expansions (with the exception of Taking the Black).

My gaming background is mostly playing MTG and hence I've tried to build a deck that uses the strength of Lannisters' economy to control the board state, and deal with threats (who doesn't like boring your opponent into concession, right?). For this I use 3 x Put to the Sword (greatest name for a kill spell ever...), 3 x Tears of Lys, 3 x Milk of the Poppy and 3 x Trial by Combat.

This is the deck in it's last TESTED format, I've talked about a few changes I want to make below. Please let me know your suggestions too! ==========================CHARACTERS:========================== 2x Brothel Madame She helps to shut down opposition options by either forcing them to keep 1 gold back for the start of challenges, or forgo their Military for the turn.

1x Burned Men Really included as a filler, but works very well with Tyrion Lannister (Core). Potentially wanting to increase this number to 2 or 3.

3x Cersei Lannister (Core) Cersei works great with Trial by Combat to control the board. She's also great at ensuring my opponents hand is empty of shenanigans.

3x Crossroads Sellsword These guys were initially included for their gold generation however, I've found them disappointing so far and will probably remove them for 2 x Burned Men and 1 x Ser Ilyn Payne.

2x Gold Cloaks Great ambush potential, a little over-costed otherwise. But utter Banter when an opponent players Fortified Position.

2x Joffrey Baratheon This guy is mighty fine against a lot of decks, with the number of kill spells being played, Joffrey can get out of hand quite quickly if your opponent has got too many lords/ladies. My favorite moment with this guy was winning off an opponents Wildfire Assaultby killing off 3 of my own Lord/Ladies.

3x Lannisport Merchant Sweet, a Mana Dork! In the deck for economy purposes.

3x Lannisport Moneylender Sweet, more gold! In the deck for economy purposes.

3x Rattleshirt's Raiders Maybe this was a slightly reactive inclusion, but I was sick of Tywin (Core) getting Craven'd or Milky Poppied. Away with your attachments dammit!

1x Red Cloaks These dudes are sweet and can get out of hand with ease. 2 more needed!

3x Ser Gregor Clegane I'm thinking about dropping big Greg down to a 2 of to include another Mr Payne. He's a bomb, but ALWAYS soaks removal to a point I've never had him make any huge impact on a game. I'm torn as when his pillage goes off, it'll hurt like hell. It's just a case of getting him to that point without getting Tears of Lys'd or Milk of the Poppied.

2x Ser Jaime Lannister (Core) I really like Ser Jaime as a beat stick, not tapping when he declares Military is a BIG advantage. Renown is awesome.

2x The Tickler The infamous Mr Tickles. I think he's pretty damn efficient and he can be SUPER brutal if you manage to hit your opponents big Power hog. (Poor Ryan Wood at Nationals).

3x Tyrion Lannister (Core) Makes good Synergy with Tywin, Casterly Rock, Lannisport and Cersei Lannister (Core). As well as all of the kill events which need gold! He's also got stealth which shouldn't be sniffed at!

3x Tywin Lannister (Core) Renown, Tri-Con, great synergy with Tyrion Lannister (Core) and an absurd ability in a deck which cares about ALL the gold.

=====================PLOTS=====================================

1x A Noble Cause More economy pls! A number of the key cards within this deck are Lords or Ladies, this helps play them a little easier!

1x Calling the Banners More economy pls! You can really punish an opponent who has an over built board with this!

1x Calm Over Westeros Really love this card, can give you a turn to build the board up a bit against heavy military decks! Can also help late game against power challenges.

2x Counting Coppers One of the issues I've found, late game especially, is ALL the gold and no cards. This certainly helps!

1x Marching Orders One of the best post-setup plots in my opinion. Can really help get the heavy hitters down!

1x Ranger's Cache Good versatility, but I'm tempted to change this to a Heads on Spikes. (not just because I've got the super cool Banter Behind the Throne Promo either).

=========================ATTACHMENTS=========================

3x Milk of the Poppy I really love this card for shutting down an opponents key character. (Balon, Randal, Rob etc... Efficiently costed at 1 too!

3x Widow's Wail I'm not to keen on this as a 3 of. I love the card, but may as a singleton in future, I feel having 1 on the board and another in hand is too punishing in a deck which seeks to play all of it's cards with ease.

=========================LOCATIONS============================

2x Casterly Rock To help decimate my opponents hand, whilst coupling with Lannisport to give sweet card advantage!

2x Lannisport See above!

3x The Kingsroad In their for the economy, I can't decide whether this or Rose Road. Currently running Kingsroad as i feel it's better early on. The early game seems pretty key with this deck as I need to set up the early game Tyrion/Tywin combo!

3x Western Fiefdom Economy pls! =======================EVENTS==================================

3x Put to the Sword Kills things!

3x Tears of Lys Kills things with great efficiency in this deck!

3x Trial by Combat Kills two things with great efficiency in this deck when combined with Cersei! All of the above work great with Tyrions ability. Just make sure you initiate Intrigue first, before Military for Put to the Sword.

===============================================================

There we go, 61 cards of Lannister bull****. (being competitively solid is so 2k14!). Let me know what you think and please suggest improvements! (I've given reasons as to why I've included most cards, please try to do the same!)
